Why This?
Nowadays there are lots of slide show softwares, but no one can meet my need. Some just display still slides. Even though they may have hundreds of effects, all the effects are applied in photo change only, and the image remain static and dull during most of the time. Some take a long time to start. Some need to manually define the movements if I like some variety. Some eat up the CPU of my laptop. So I started to make my own.
"Brilliant Effect of Easy Idea ... I have reviewed an entire photoset of the last year’s journey. I had seen it hundreds of times, but I’ve never felt THAT pleased and enthralled with those photos! The secret was only in the way how MemoryShow Pro does it. "
Introduction
Highlights
Pixel Shader technology
MemoryShow Pro uses Pixel Shader technology to realize graphics card accelerated high-quality animation and extremely fast color processing, while taking up just a bit of your CPU. Try setting the duration of each photo to 1 second, and you'll be surprised how powerful your PC is.
Color effects available now:
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
| Black & White | Sepia | Blue Tone |
You can also add color effect transition, which turns a colored photo gradually into black & white like a bleaching effect, or turns a black & white one back to colored.
Jaggy-free and glitch-free
Linear interpolation for high-quality zooming, and high-accuracy timer for smooth panning.
Screensaver and stand-alone
Besides starting by screensaver timer, you can also launch it from start menu or desktop.
Random generation
Play list, effect, zooming, panning, accelerating, all can be random, to give you a new feeling of your photos every time. Try throwing the folder holding all your photos, like "My Pictures", and MemoryShow Pro will search inside the folder and all the sub folders of it in a recursive way to recall you random pieces of memory that sleeps inside for years. Even a folder of thousands of photos can be loaded in a flash. You can also finely define a sequence list.
Auto rotate
Automatically rotate your photo to the right direction, according to the EXIF metadata your camera recorded inside the file.
Control keys
You can use your keyboard to pause, resume, jump to next or last photo in the slideshow. Music volume and music playlist controls are also accessible via hot keys.
Play video files as music
Any video file that your media player supports can be added into the music list and played with sound only.
Low requirement
A graphics card that supports the first available version of Pixel Shader (ver 1.1) is enough for color effects. This feature appeared in the market in year 2001, and is supported by most current computers including notebooks. MemoryShow Pro automatically uses a better algorithm if your hardware is newer. If Pixel Shader is not supported, you can still enjoy other effects like zooming, the so-called Ken Burns effect.
Light weighted
Tiny 130KB installer. No registry garbage. Fast start up.
